One Chapter Closes and Another Chapter Begins

I am sad to see it go. It has been on my Local Restaurants I Love list from the start. And today I take it off.

Bragg’s Factory Diner is closing its doors tomorrow.

I happened upon this place because of a Groupon. Greg and I are very adventurous and we strive to go outside the 5-mile radius from our house to try new places. We first went in March 2014 and instantly loved this place.

Recently, it had become almost a weekly breakfast outing for us. Last week we didn’t go and I told Greg a few days ago that I missed Bragg’s. The last time we went to Bragg’s, we learned about their sister restaurant, Coronado, and figured we would try it in time.

Well, that time will be here sooner than we anticipated with Bragg’s closing. Fortunately, I hopped onto Facebook this morning to find out more about Coronado and ended up on Bragg’s Facebook page to read that tomorrow is their last day open.

Needless to say, we went to Bragg’s this morning for our final breakfast. We brought home one of their yummy scones to have with our lunch.

One of our favorite side dishes – the Jackfruit Barbacoa – is on Coronado’s menu. So, we will definitely go there soon for that, as well as to try what I’m sure will be other palate-pleasing dishes.

While I am sad to see the Bragg’s chapter close; it merely opens the door for a new chapter, Coronado, and other places for us to try when we would have gone to our standby instead.

Nothing to Brag About
